At InkByHand, we believe that meaningful words deserve more than an ordinary place on a wall. They deserve thoughtful composition, skilled hands, and the time it takes to create something truly personal.
InkByHand is an independent, artist-led studio dedicated to original hand-painted Islamic and Arabic calligraphy. Our work brings together the beauty of traditional calligraphic expression and the freedom of contemporary canvas painting, creating pieces that carry both artistic character and personal significance.
Every painting begins with its meaning. Whether it is a Quranic verse, a cherished Arabic name, a meaningful phrase, or a special commission, we consider the balance of the lettering, the relationship between colour and texture, and the space in which the finished artwork will be displayed.
The creative process is personal and deliberate. From exploring an idea and refining the composition to applying paint, developing texture, and completing the smallest details, each stage receives careful attention. We value the natural variations of handmade work because they are part of what makes every original painting distinctive.
For custom commissions, we work directly with our clients to understand their preferences, including the wording, size, colours, materials, and intended setting. Quranic text is checked against reliable references and confirmed before painting begins, reflecting the care and respect such artwork deserves.
Our collection includes Quranic wall art, Arabic name paintings, original canvases, personalised gifts, and commissioned pieces for homes, prayer rooms, workplaces, and meaningful interiors.
At InkByHand, our purpose is simple: to create authentic handmade artwork that respects the words it carries, complements the spaces it enters, and remains meaningful long after the final brushstroke.
Training: Self-directed study and ongoing practical experience in Arabic calligraphy, handmade canvas composition, brushwork, and painting techniques.
Palettes can be chosen to suit your walls, furniture, and the mood of the space.
Quranic text is checked against a reliable reference, and you approve the wording first.
You deal with the studio from your first message until the artwork is on your wall.
